課程概述	理想晶體結構中的缺陷決定了許多材料的物理性質。這門課將介紹零維度到三維的晶體缺陷，包含點缺陷、差排、及晶界等，並討論這些結構的特色，形成過程，觀察方法，以及對材料性質的影響。
課程目標	1. Lattice geometry 2. Basic crystallography 3. Tensors 4. Strain, stress, and elasticity 5. Point defects 6. Dislocations 7. Crystal interfaces
課程要求	Imperfections in ideal crystal lattices determines essential physical properties of materials. Introductions are given on zero to three dimensional defects, including point defects, dislocations, stacking faults, and grain boundaries. Features of these defects, their formation, observations and effects on materials properties will be discussed.
